According to the Ohio Casino Control Commission 13 people across the state have recently been indicted, all charged as part of a massive crime ring operating a roulette scam.

Investigators say the NY based crime ring, involving nearly 70 people, has targeted all four of Ohio's major casinos.

Karen Huey, the Director of Enforcement for the Ohio Casino Control Commission, explained the suspects work together as a team to turn the house odds in their favor and distract the dealer.

"They're distracting the dealer, they're making sure the pit boss isn't alerted, they're making sure that no one is watching what they're doing," Huey explained.  "As the casino's were getting ready to open we were advised about these groups that travel around the country performing various schemes one of them is the roulette scheme."

The most recent roulette scheme authorities were able to catch involves four men who were arrested and charged in Cincinnati.  Mezon Cruz, Edward Calletano, Ramon Mojica, and Daniel Peralta have all pled guilty and are now awaiting sentencing in Hamilton County.

According to Huey there have been 101 documented cases of various forms of cheating since Ohio casinos opened their doors.  Cleveland has the largest number of cases due to the Horseshoe having the most foot traffic.
